INFO BUTTON NEWS
So, you know when I said that people were getting in touch with the ‘info button’ yeah? I don’t know what I was thinking about because there’s no ‘info button’. I honestly don’t know how people have been getting in touch but they have and continue to do so and while that isn’t why I’m maintaining this site (ie. to meet new people) it’s nice all the same.
RADIO NEWS
I’ve been doing a few bits and pieces for BBC radio recently. Mainly just small parts in other people’s stuff but I’ve also written a short play as part of a series called Friends Like These which will air as part of Woman’s Hour (don’t know why exactly) next year sometime. The plays in the series (on the theme of friendship) have all been written by double acts of various kinds. Joe wasn’t able to write anything with me as he’s busy with all kinds of projects but he said he’d be up for being in it so I’ve written it with him in mind. I’ve only written a first draft so far so if and when it gets more serious I’ll let you know. That must be pretty exciting for you. In a way I’m like Santa.
KEN ON THE LAST WORD NEWS
My brother Dave (whose site Poo Pages is the best place to go if you are an Adam & Joe Show fan in search of trivs) has put up the first 6 movie reviews that Ken has done for More 4’s The Last Word. Some (Lord Of War, Battle In Heaven, Broken Flowers, Elizabethtown) differ very slightly from the transmitted pieces! It’s a very slight internet exclusive! I think I’m doing a few more of these up till Christmas, thereafter I don’t know. I’m just taking it as it comes. I’m like the freewheeling Bob Dylan. And Santa.
SCALLIWAG NEWS
I’ve also put my Scalliwag song up here for Scalliwag fans (although I have no reason to believe there are any at all). This is something I did last year when I was doing little bits of sub Streets/Dizzee Rascal style rapping over pop songs for Xfm in an effort to get listeners to reciprocate. A couple of people did but mainly it was an excuse for me to rap. The song (which samples the amazing Talking Heads song Warning Sign) was something I did when I decided I was going to make an entire album in the style of The Streets. Needless to say I failed to make an entire album, but I haven’t given up entirely. If I get any further I’ll stick some more up. I’m like the freewheeling Bob Dylan and Santa and The Streets. And a twat.
Right, I’ve got to watch I’m A Celebrity now. I want to dislike Ant & Dec so much but I just can’t. What’s my problem?
