OLD ADAM & JOE NEWS!

DERMOT’S SPORTING BUDDIES

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while but kept putting it off because I thought it would be a drag to digitise and upload and BOY WAS I RIGHT?! It took me the best part of half a christing day! But in the temporary absence of any new clip stuff I hope you’ll find it entertaining.

As I’ve written in the ‘CAREER’ section of this site, I think both Joe and I agree that this is one of the few times that we appeared on someone else’s show and didn’t come out of it looking like dicks. Kind of. We shot it with Dermot’s crew over a weekend in May 2002 and had a lot of fun, which I think comes across. The insane wibbly synth track at the beginning of the second part was something I had on my I-pod that I stuck on while we were driving and though at the time we thought it was a demo track from a synthesiser which Joe’s friend Dan Mudford had put on a CD for him, I believe it’s actually by synth pioneers Perrey & Kingsley, who are perhaps best known for creating a track called Baroque Hoedown that has for a long time accompanied the wonderful Main Street Electrical Parade in Disneyland. Hope you like the prog. Thanks Dermot!
