Hey Dr Buckles

Love your podcast and big fan of your BBC 6 show with Joe. Writing in because, not sure if you're aware, but in the BBC series Line of Duty, right from the first series there has been a character called Buckles. He's a detective and every time his name is mentioned on the show, my boyfriend and I have hysterics because we imagine him as Dr Buckles. We'd love it if you would turn your comedy genius to making fun of this, and claiming the character of Dect Buckles as your own. Love the good work keep it up!

Hi Adam,
this is Daniele from Italy and I wanna compliment you on your new podcast. It's either entertaining and lovely recorded as well.
Time to time I listen to the Adam and Joe Podcast and I miss the made up jokes niche. I've come up with these, check them out:
Do you know what an Aussie actor – disguised as a gladiator – does in a windy day under a tree?
Rustle Crowe

Do you know why Peter – the director of Dead Poets Society – couldn't cross that stream?
Because he found a weir.

Welcome back Buckles,

Afraid you might get a sudden comment influx from me as I only recently found out you’d finally done a solo Podcast (You shoulda’ got on it ages ago man, Cornballs is great but you’re every bit as talented, of course you’re awesome together but you’re both just as good apart, it’s just different stuff) through your distraction pieces episode and binged it.

5-star excellence thus far which has had me in hysterics as I’ve come to expect from your good self. I like that you’re playing around with the Podcast medium a bit rather than just doing a straight interview/conversation but more of a random chat about a specific subject with your mates or at least this was the case in this pilot episode with Louis. I do feel however that you are slipping into more standard Pod interviews later on with interviewees who you’re less familiar with perhaps because you don’t have the short hand clearly on display with the likes of Louis and Garth. Your personality is what makes this podcast and all of your work special, you have a unique voice, don’t be afraid to continue using it because I feel that your own insecurities may be leading you to conform to the standard podcast format in an attempt to achieve a higher listenership which while completely understandable is ultimately misguided, Scroobius was right when he commented that the listens for the more abstract episodes like your cold safari will increase over time if you stick to your guns. I should stress that the episodes with Scroobius, Rob Delaney etc are still HIGHLY entertaining and enjoyable but as Al Pacino said to Hilary swank at the climax of Christopher Nolan’s ‘Insomnia’, “Don’t lose your way”.

A note about Comments

Hello Podcats and Blog friends,

I wanted to let you know that comments have been disabled on the blog and the app for the time being. This is not because of anyone posting anything abusive or anything like that, but just because I seldom get round to moderating the stuff that comes in as promptly as I should, and rather than irritate people who don’t understand why their comment hasn’t been posted, I think it’s easier if I just switch them off. Sorry about that, but time is scarce and I’m disappointed to discover I can’t do everything! And if you’re one of the people who submitted a comment and it hasn’t been posted - sincere apologies.

Best wishes
