This was a wonderfully divergent episode from the normal vibe of this podcast, and I am thankful I had tbe opportunity to listen to Hassan’s story. I hope that his raw, thought provoking portrayal of his journey not only opens eyes to what conditions refugees suffer, but in a broader sense, reveal relatable similarities and create connections across cultural and religious divides. I advise one not to listen while grocery shopping unless you’re a fan of weeping into the root vegetable bin.
Ps. I enjoy the “regular” vibe of this podcast, and it is not my intention to imply otherwise.
